The remap
Is remapping safe for my engine?
A Stage 1 map is written to work within the limits of your standard engine and gearbox. We give every car a free health check first, and if anything needs fixing we'll tell you before we tune it.
What's the difference between Stage 1 and Stage 2?
Stage 1 is software only, on a standard car. Stage 2 is for cars with supporting hardware such as an upgraded intercooler, intake or exhaust, and is calibrated around those parts.
Will it improve my fuel economy?
Often, especially on diesels driven the same way as before. If economy is the goal, an Economy map is set up for it. Results depend on how you drive.
Can you remap automatic and DSG gearboxes?
Yes. A gearbox (TCU) map gives quicker, firmer shifts and sets the gearbox's torque limits to match a remapped engine.
How accurate is the reg check?
It gives a close estimate for your engine from official vehicle records, our engine list and published figures. We confirm exact numbers for your car before any work.

Can it be put back to standard?
Yes. We save your car's original software before anything is changed, so it can be restored whenever you like.
Do I need to tell my insurer?
Yes. A remap is a modification, and UK insurers need to know about modifications. Check with yours before booking.
Will it affect my warranty?
It can. If your car is still under a manufacturer warranty, check with them before you tune it.
Booking
Do you come to me?
Yes, anywhere within about 25 miles of Oswestry: Shrewsbury, Chester, Wrexham, Llangollen, Welshpool, Chirk, Ellesmere and everywhere between, with no call-out fee. Further out, we can often still come to you, with a call-out fee for the extra travel; ask us for a quote. If you'd rather bring the car to us, message us and we'll arrange a time.
What do I need to have ready?
Somewhere we can park next to the car, enough fuel for a test drive, and a heads-up about any warning lights before the day.
How much is a remap?
Stage 1 is £250, Stage 2 £300 and an Economy map £250. Gearbox tuning and add-ons are £50 each on top of any map, or £300 and £250 on their own. Unlocking an ECU is priced on request.
Is there a discount for more than one car?
Yes. Book two or more vehicles, yours or a friend's, to be remapped at the same place and we'll discount them. Ask when you message us.
How do I book?
Send your reg on WhatsApp or call 07301 079925, or message us on Instagram, and tell us what you're after. We'll confirm the figures and the price and find a time that suits you. A £50 deposit secures the booking and comes off the final bill.
